Lotus Questions?

is a lotus elise or exige manual? And if it is can can u get one that is automatic?

Lotus Questions?
They are all manual since they are made to be driven mainly on road courses. You could probably find a way to convert it to automatic, but it would be MUCH slower, and not a fun at all...defeating the point of the car entirely. Come to your senses and learn to drive a stick, or you might as well go buy a hybrid...lol.
Reply:They are manual. They do not come in automatic. Most high-end sportscars only come in manual such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, and some Porsche models.

You cannot get it in automatic. Just learn Manual. It took me 1 day to learn how to drive one around the streets and 3 days to master it. It is not hard.

Manual cars are lighter, cheaper to fix/buy/maintain, more reliable, more fuel efficient, quicker, and faster than automatics.
Reply:Well it depends the Elise has a automatic or a manual but the exieg is just Manuel.
Reply:Yep they're both manuals and no auto option is avaiable which is the way it should be considering they're both sport cars. Fitting a heavy auto transmission into a lightweight sport car goes against every design aspect Colin Chapman stood for. Both the Elise and the Exige models share the same C64 manual transaxle, aluminium lightweight construction, 6-speed, close ratio, constant mesh helical gears and open differential.
