How do I move a Lotus Notes client without uninstalling and reinstalling?

We are using Lotus Notes 6.5.3 on a small network. Each client logs into the Lotus email server. Someone told me it was possible to move the clients from one computer to another without having to uninstall and reinstall. Is it possible? This would be necessary if one of my users was to move from one desk to another.

How do I move a Lotus Notes client without uninstalling and reinstalling?
Hi

Okay, I will assume when you move the Lotus Notes from 1 PC and to another PC, you are going to use the same drive. (C or D)

You can easily achieved that by moving the directory of the Lotus Notes Program and the "Data files"

Example:

1. Lotus Notes installed on:

D:\lotus\notes

2. Data file on

d:\lotus\notes\data or some other directory

Move these 2 directory to the new PC.

and create a shortcut to the Notes application. "notes.exe"

it Should WORK, i have done this many times since version 5.0 :-)

if you are moving to a different directory, you need to modify the

d:\lotus\notes\notes.ini
