Trying to open Lotus 123 file with Excel 2003; I receive error message "Cannot open this Lotus 123 file as it was created with a later version of Lotus 123"
What is the latest version of Lotus 123?
Lotus 123 is currently at version 9.8 according to the IBM website. Excel 2003 should be able to open a Lotus .wk1, .wk2, .wk3, and .wk4 file if you install the Lotus converter from your Office 2003 CD. Excel 2003 cannot open a Lotus .123 file, but rumor has it that OpenOffice Calc can do that and save as an .xls file that Excel 2003 can open. Might be quickest for you to contact whoever sent you the file and ask him/her to save it as an .xls file and send you that instead.
