Lotus Elise?

What is the average price of a Lotus Elise, a Brand new one. And what would be the price of a used one around the year 2004-2007?

Lotus Elise?
I new one is from $40,000-$50,000. A used one is from $30,000-40,000. It depends on the miles it has driven.
Reply:just be warned: Theyre horrifically unreliable and a pain in the **** to get fixed (low production numbers, and everything has to be gotten from europe). a couple guys at my local track have them and are constantly b!tching about the maintenance.
Reply:used around 15 g depends on miles lool new one will be 40 g if it has a lotr of miles probably like 5 g
Reply:probably $40,000-55,000

really nice car but not enough horses compaired to corvett or shellby 500...which are around same price
Reply:Just build one on Kelly Blue Book.
Reply:try e-bay you can get an Exige S (better than Elise) for around 20 000 to 30 000 NEW and a used for about 15 000. But that depends on milage. If it is used, word of advice check to see if it not a lemon.
Reply:Where do you live?

I think it is in the 30's to 40's for a new one.
Reply:Let me atleast say that if you intend to invest in a Lotus brand automobile in the United States, you will turn heads driving down the streets.

But, as for locating licensed dealers and service departments, you will "pay to play". Rare European cars in America are expensive to maintain and unless you live a state that has a has a Lotus Dealer, it will be even more of a hardship to get it serviced than more common Euro brands i.e. Land Rover, BMW, Jaguar (which are expensive enough to service as it is). Not to mention some Euro vehicle values tend to depreciate faster than domestic and Japanses autos.

But if you are a 70k+ a year white collar-type person.....have fun.

NEW: $60,000+

USED with average mileage: $30,000+
Reply:They are not ridiculously expensive to maintain nor are they hard to get parts for. The engine is a Toyota and is as reliable as the cars they came from.

That said, body panels are not cheap and if you crack the front or rear clam shells, be expecting to pay about 8k to have them replaced.
