I would like to write a vbscript to play a wav file when new mail arrives in Lotus Notes. I need to know the necessary API calls for this or if there are objects recognized by vbscript. Maybe someone has already wrote this and can save me a bunch of time. Doesn't sound too difficult.

Question - why wouldn't you want to write it in LotusScipt? Do you not have the Developer portion of Notes installed? I would look into some Notes forums on some of IBM's websites. I used to know some good ones - let me see if I can still find them, and I'll get back to you.
