Land of the lotus?
They just call it the "Land of the Lotus-Eaters". It is an island located near Northern Africa. People living on this island is known as Lotophagi.
The island of the Lotophagi may be the modern Djerba (largest island off North Africa, located in the Gulf of Gabes off the coast of Tunisia). It is a likely candidate because there are very few islands on the North African coast; however, Herodotus says that the Lotophagi live on a peninsula, not an island.
